Why We Exist

Nature’s Nomads was created from a simple belief: wildlife photography should be slower, more deliberate, and rooted in respect. Too often, wildlife photography tours focus on speed and sightings. We focus on presence.

Our small group wildlife photography expeditions are designed for photographers who value time in the field, waiting for light to shift, behaviour to unfold, and moments to emerge naturally.

From the forests of Finland to the fjords of Norway and the jungles of India, each journey is shaped by firsthand field experience and a commitment to ethical practice.

We don’t chase wildlife. We position ourselves carefully and allow the wild to lead.

What Makes Us Different

We build every expedition around a clear set of principles:

Photography First,

Every decision, destination, timing, daily rhythm is shaped around light and animal behaviour. We prioritise depth of experience over quantity of sightings.

Wildlife-First

Animal welfare always comes before the image. We follow local best practice, work with trusted operators, and avoid any activity that compromises natural behaviour. We do not stage encounters or manipulate wildlife for photographs. Where supplemental feeding is used in specific locations, it is conducted transparently, legally, and in accordance with established conservation standards.

Founder-Led

All tours are personally led or closely overseen by Adam Masterton. Fieldcraft, patience, and ethical decision-making guide every expedition.

Small Groups, Greater Focus

Groups are intentionally limited, typically 3–8 photographers. This allows space to shoot, reflect, and work without pressure.

Time-Rich, Not Checklist-Driven

We don’t rush between locations. We stay where the conditions are right and give moments time to develop.

The Tribe

Nature’s Nomads is not built around one-off trips. Over time, a consistent group of returning photographers has formed people who share the same standards and approach to the wild.

We refer to this growing network as The Tribe.

It is not a slogan. It is a reflection of shared values.

Many guests return for multiple expeditions, building familiarity not only with destinations, but with each other. Techniques are shared. Images are reviewed. Field awareness deepens with each journey.

As part of The Tribe, returning guests receive priority access to new tour releases and early booking windows before public launch.

Wildlife photography is not mastered in a weekend. It evolves through repetition, reflection, and time spent in the right company.
